Dungeon Names

In the second quest, dungeons change their shape, and their name's change with them. In the first quest it's shaped like a snake, and it's named Snake Labyrinth. In the second quest it's shaped like a "D" (the first five are Z, E, L, D, A), so everyone (I've heard) call it the D Dungeon or D labyrinth. Since the two dungeons are designed completely different, it would make more sense to at least have a different article name for it, such as "Snake Labyrinth (Second Quest)". Snake map, D map So basically what I'm asking is, why change "D Dungeon" to "Snake Dungeon"? --Douken (talk) 20:28, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Okay, to me this is a bigger issue. It's also kind of a repeat of the Oracles issue. LoZ is hard. It's tough to complete, which is required in order to get to the Second Quest. So very few people will have played it, which is probably why it's not even mentioned on the game's page (compare to Wikipedia's page). So I guess what we really need is more info, and yeah probably either new pages for the 2nd quest dungeons, or at least extra sections on the original pages. --Adam (talk) 20:49, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Hm, true. I haven't paid much attention to them, but practically every article pertaining only to the NES Zeldas seems to be a stub or inadequate in some other way... I've beaten LoZ once or twice, but I never got far in the second quest. Maybe this (or some of this) should be added to Castle Town? ...Aaand... I'm still wondering if it should be Snake Dungeon. --Douken (talk) 20:58, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
"It's tough to complete, which is required in order to get to the Second Quest." This statement is false. You can also access the second quest by naming your file Zelda. That trick came in handy when my file got corrupted on the start of the second quest and it wouldn't register that I was collecting rupees. User:Triforce of the Gods/sig 22:55, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Merge

Honestly, I'm surprised this hasn't been done yet. I suggest Magic Rod be merged to Fire Rod, for obvious reasons, and that the Book of Magic section be merged with Magic Book. The latter don't function the same, but they're pretty much very similar. -The Goron Moron (talk) 02:11, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

I understand this is an old message, but it was never cleared up so I will reply now. Magical Rod and Fire Rod should not be merged because they are two separate items in different games. Magical Rod/Magic Rod is the name of the item in The Legend of Zelda, Link's Awakening, and Hyrule Warriors, and Fire Rod is the name of the item in 7 other games (That are too long to list). Hyrule Warriors specifically has two different items of both the Magic Rod and the Fire Rod, so those should remain seperate. And lastly, Book of Magic and Magic Book have already been merged off of this page, so I don't think I'll have to explain that. β€” 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐒𝐜𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 (𝐭𝐚π₯𝐀) 22:02, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
