The idea of "hot ice" is really intriguing, and actually reminds me a lot of Discworld's idea of "anti-heat," where ice could become so cold that it actually melts and eventually "anti-boils." However, if red ice were actually hot, then the Ice Cavern and frozen Zora's Domain would be the last places you would expect to find it. It's usually sitting on top of regular, cold ice, so it's a wonder why one or both don't just melt away. Jimbo Jambo 07:45, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- The blue fire is described as having a cool flame. If red ice were cold like regular ice, a cool flame wouldn't melt it, now would it? So red ice would have to be hot in order to be melted by blue fire. User:Triforce of the Gods/sig 01:35, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Red ice is obviously not normal ice - just look at it, it's red! - but if blue fire's coldness was the attribute that caused red ice to melt, then red ice would not exist within a cold and icy dungeon, nor would there exist normal cold ice around it if it were hot; it would also mean that ice arrows can melt red ice (actually something that should be put to the test). Blue fire is indeed cold (described as "cool" actually), but is has to be by some other quality that it's able to melt red ice. Jimbo Jambo 08:35, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
