Template:Dungeon Saas Ko'sah Shrine, designated by the Trial name A Major Test of Strength, is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.
Entrance to the Shrine
Saas Ko'sah Shrine is located in Hyrule Castle's Docks. It is initially buried underground and must be uncovered by lighting the large Torch located in the center of a ring of smaller torches. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by the Shrine's Monk, Saas Ko'sah.[1]
Saas Ko'sah Shrine features a large, central chamber which acts as an arena. As Link approaches the center of the arena, a Guardian Scout IV wielding an Ancient Battle Axe++, a Guardian Sword++ and a Guardian Spear++ will rise from a pit to challenge Link. Unlike most Tests of Strength, Saas Ko'sah features no pillars. Instead, there are five metal blocks embedded into the floor, which can be lifted with Magnesis to protect Link from the Guardian Scout IV.
In order to reach Saas Ko'sah, Link must defeat the Guardian Scout IV to cause a portcullis separating him from the Monk to rise. Once Link has done so, Saas Ko'sah will give him a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial,[2] and afterwards will wish Link well before fading away.[3]
A Treasure Chest behind the portcullis contains a Flameblade.
