Reinforced Lizal Shields are Lizal Shields that have been strengthened with the addition of a different type of metal.[1] Their edges are lined with spikes, which means they must be handled with care.[1] Blue Lizalfos commonly use these Shields, though Fire-Breath Lizalfos, Ice-Breath Lizalfos, and Electric Lizalfos may also use them. They belong to the Lizalfos Gear equipment archetype, which includes all Weapons created and utilized by Lizalfos.[2]
Being made of metal, Reinforced Lizal Shields will conduct Electricity and attract Lightning if they are equipped during Thunderstorms, and they will also sink if they are dropped in Water. However, they can be picked up with the Magnesis Rune, and they will not burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
