Template:Dungeon Kaya Wan Shrine, designated by the Trial name Shields from Water, is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

Kaya Wan Shrine is found right beside the Wetland Stable in the Lanayru Wetlands. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by the Shrine's Monk, Kaya Wan.[1]

Features and Overview

Kaya Wan Shrine features several water-filled chambers, through which Link must use Cryonis to navigate. Kaya Wan sits at the far end of the Ancient Shrine, beyond a waterfall that descends into an endless pit. When Link reaches Kaya Wan, he will give Link a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial and wish him well before fading away.[2][3]

A Treasure Chest containing an Ancient Core can be found floating in the water in the second chamber. A second Treasure Chest hidden behind a portcullis contains a Knight's Broadsword.
