Greta is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Biography[]
Greta is the proprietor of the Gerudo Secret Club, located in the building behind Fashion Passion in Gerudo Town. When Link initially tries to enter the Gerudo Secret Club, Greta will speak from behind the door and ask for the password.[2] If Link guesses the password wrong, he will not be able to try again until the next day.[3] Greta will then tell Link to go drink milk at The Noble Canteen in an attempt to get him to go away.[4] This begins the Side Quest "The Secret Club's Secret".
Once Link provides the correct password to Greta, he is allowed entry to the Gerudo Secret Club.[5] Upon entering the Secret Club, Greta notices that she has not seen Link before.[6] She comments that Link is a rare visitor and promises not to ask any questions if he does the same.[7] Greta then accepts Link as a member to the Club and the Side Quest is completed.[8]
If Link speaks to Greta, she comments that it is always "good evening" in the Gerudo Secret Club.[9] If Link asks what the place is, she explains that it is the Gerudo Secret Club, or "GSC" for short.[10] She sells the Desert Voe Set and the Radiant Set and tells Link that it is the only Shop in Gerudo Town that sells men's clothing.[11] While it is illegal to sell men's clothing in Gerudo Town, there is a high demand for it that Greta recognizes.[12] Greta comments that she has never seen a man disguise himself as a woman like Link has.[13] When Link reacts with shock, she mentions that they both have something to hide and suggests they move on to business.[14] When Link is done speaking with her, Greta assures him that his secret is safe with her.[15]
Greta admits to Link that the sunlight does not agree with her, as she has not been out in the day for years.[16] If Link ends the conversation, Greta asks if he has ever noticed how beautiful light is in the dark.[17] When examining the Radiant Set, Greta will tell Link that it is made using Luminous Stones.[18] She then informs Link that he must also trade her Luminous Stones when buying the Set, in addition to a handling fee.[19]
When Link asks to sell his Items to Greta, she agrees, though she will refuse to pay more than another trader would.[20] However, she is still interested in finding something rare, should Link have any.[21][22] She has not done much traveling, so she appreciates being sold rare goods.[23] Greta appreciates a good deal,[24][25] and she is glad to purchase unique Items from Link.[26] She may occassionally mention how she wanted the product that Link just sold to her.[27]
