Template:Enemy Flying Tiles are recurring traps in The Legend of Zelda series.
Characteristics
Flying Tiles are possessed floor tiles that will rise up from the ground and hurl themselves at Link. He can place in a corner or doorway and destroy them using Sword strikes or by defending with a Shield. In A Link to the Past and Oracle of Ages, the Cane of Somaria can be used to create temporary barriers to hide behind. In Link's Awakening, Flying Tiles are the primary attack method of Facade and are common in his dungeon, the Face Shrine.
The missing tiles leave a formation of a skull, often similar to the appearance of Ganon. In other games, they will leave behind pits as they appear, which can make progressing through a dungeon more difficult if Link does not move quickly or use the Roc's Feather or Roc's Cape.
