Farewell to Gibdos
|Farewell to Gibdos|
A Gibdo suffering from the effects of "Farewell to Gibdos"
Farewell to Gibdos is a non-playable song played by the water-powered Music Box House in Ikana Canyon in Majora's Mask. It can be activated by playing the Song of Storms to Sharp, one of the Composer Brothers, inside the Spring Water Cave. The reason for this is that Sharp's presence holds back the flow of the water, and when he is defeated, the spring water starts flowing again. This song's cheerful tune, as its name implies, causes any Gibdo that hears it to retreat into the ground. It was composed by Pamela's Father after many years of researching Gibdos.
The notes of the song are as follows:
G F# G A G F# G E G F# G A G E F
F E F G F E F D F E F B A G E
G F# G A G F# G E C B C D C Bb A
A G# A C B A G F# G B A G F E F G F D C
- "Farewell to Gibdos" has a similar melody to that of the Merry-Go-Round located at Big Boo's Haunt in Super Mario 64.
- "By the way, the song, Farewell to Gibdos, which the music box is now playing, drives away Gibdos. I discovered it after many years of researching Gibdos." — Pamela's Father (Majora's Mask)
