Great Fairy Fountains,(TMC | BotW)[1][2][note 1] also known as Faerie Springs,(LA)[4] Fairy's Fountains,(MM)[5] Fairy Fountains,(TWW | HW)[6][7][note 2] and Great Fairy's Fountains,(OoT | FSA)[10][11] are recurring locations in The Legend of Zelda series in which a Great Fairy resides. Great Fairy Fountains go unnamed in Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, and Four Swords.

They are usually located in holes or caves; however, they are inside of houses shaped like seashells in The Wind Waker and out in the open in Breath of the Wild. They are often inaccessible without special abilities or items, for example, behind giant rocks or walls that must be bombed. Upon accessing the Fountain, Link may be rewarded with important items or power-ups which are helpful or necessary to finish the game. However, in some games such as A Link to the Past, Great Fairies residing within fountains only heal Link without granting him any special abilities.

==Notes==
  1. The Great Fairy Fountains are referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D — Prima Official Game Guide by Prima Games.[3] However, as this contradicts the name given in Ocarina of Time 3D, it is not considered Canon.
  2. The Great Fairy Fountains were referred to both as Fairy's Fountains and Fairy Fountains in Majora's Mask.[8][9] However, as the latter name variant was retconned in Majora's Mask 3D,[5] it is not considered Canon. The name "Fairy Fountain" thus only applies to instances of the Great Fairy Fountain specifically in versions and ports of Majora's Mask for the Nintendo 64, in contrast to Majora's Mask 3D and broader Majora's Mask content.

    This spot marks the remains of an ancient Fairy Fountain. The legendary hero was said to come here after battle so the fairies could ease his weariness. It was also said that whoever met with the Great Fairy who lived here was blessed with great fortune, so it came to be known as the Fountain of the Fortune Goddess.
