Critical Hits are damage modifiers that Link can perform under certain conditions in Breath of the Wild.[citation needed]

Overview

Critical Hits are strikes that deal twice the normal damage for a weapon. There are three ways to achieve this effect: hitting an enemy's head with an Arrow,[1][2] successfully throwing a weapon at an enemy,[3] and breaking a weapon while striking an enemy.[4]

Sneakstrikes are a similar phenomenon, which deal more damage by stealthily attacking an enemy from behind.
