Image(s) uploaded

Hi! Thank you for the new image(s) you recently uploaded; the wiki appreciates your contributions! We've introduced a policy of crediting the original source of any images used here, so we ask that you please take a moment to let everyone know where your images came from using FileInfo. For more information, see this explanation, and any questions you may have will be answered by the staff here. Thanks for your help! User:Adam/sig 07:41, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Please could you read through the information above and ask any questions you may have here, before uploading any more images? Thank you. User:Adam/sig 15:28, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I guess I'll stop uploading stuff for articles :/ The explanation is way too unclear - I tried to follow it and ended up having a huge box on my wikis for every single image I had on the page. It seems like an awfully large pain.

Well, image contributions are always a help, so we would hate for you to simply quit uploading :P Adding a template is not that difficult. Try checking this. All you do is just copy the image template code onto the image page. For example, let's try this particular template:

{{FoundImageZW| URL | Site Name }}

You would use this if you found your image on a site that is part of our collaboration. Where "URL" is, you replace that with the site's URL. Where "Site Name" is, you replace that with the name of the site. If you still need more assistance with this, don't hesitate to ask ;)User:Mandi/sig 18:38, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
I just seen your image edits. Yes, that is indeed the correct way to cite your sources. We hope you continue to contribute!User:Mandi/sig 19:29, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
(Replying to this, since my talk page is acting up...) Hi there; thanks for taking this onboard, and yes what you've done is exactly what we're looking for... almost ;) There's actually a separate template which should be used for crediting images from Zelda Dungeon - FoundImageZD. Other than that, top marks (and thanks for your cooperation)! User:Adam/sig 19:32, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Zelda Dungeon Images

I'd like to thanks you for taking the time to uploading a bunch of images from Zelda Dungeon onto the Wiki. I noticed the Phantom Hourglass Enemies page and I think it looks great. Few things that I'd like to touch on to make things easier for you.

1. When uploading images, there is a Summary Box. You can put the 'copyright Nintendo and Source Zelda Dungeon' code right there, rather than having to edit the images immediately upon uploading them.

2. For uploading in bulk, there is a multiple uploading feature, which can be found here,

3. One of the projects I had was the Majoras Mask enemies page, in a similar fashion as to how I recently created the one for Legend of Zelda, and how you created it for Phantom Hourglass. For the 3d games though, I think it is best that we use screenshots, and in particular portions of screenshots that highlight the enemies. I was planning on uploading all of those quicklinks images that I have at the top of that page, as a way to provide a gallery look, similar to LoZ and PH. Not sure if you are interested in this project or not, but it is something that I was planning on doing shortly. Mases 20:13, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Ya, that is pretty much exactly what I was asking. It's on a long laundry list of projects that I have for the Wiki. Unfortunately, as the Webmaster of Zelda Dungeon, most my time and resources are dedicated to working at my site. The Wiki, I usually pick up random projects from time to time. But the good thing about the wiki, is that you don't need to have long blocks of time to work on projects. So whenever I have small periods of 15-20 minutes, that is usually where I get my Wiki work done... Nevertheless, the Majoras Mask Enemies is a page that would be great to be created. I just think those mini zoomed screenshots would make for great images for the Wiki as they are all consistent. Thanks for offering your help. Mases 07:20, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
All you need to do is paste this exact coding. [{c-nintendo}}{{FoundImageZD}] (Replace the [ and ] in that tag to { and }. I had to change that otherwise it puts the template right here in the talk page. That will do the trick. On a side note. Way to go and duplicate my ZD user template for ZU :). Haha, looks great though. Nice to see more active people from ZU at the Wiki. But we all know that Zelda Dungeon is the soon to be domination of the Zelda Wiki ;) Mases 18:17, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Ya, I got around to doing the Oracle titles. The lists are certainly complete. The next project on the list is the Minish Cap enemies. or Not sure which you think is better. After The Minish Cap, there are a few games left. Adventure of Link and A Link to the Past are my next projects. However for those, I want to go and gather some new sprites myself, guarantee consistency, completeness, and so that I can do the usual 3x the size, as I've done for the Oracle titles. Same thing for Adventure of Link. I have sprites at my page, but those were added years ago by staff members no longer even a part of the website, so I don't feel comfortable just posting them when I can't be certain about the source. If you'd like, we can make temporary pages for Aol, ALTTP, and OOT, until my sites guides are complete. FS and FSA are two games that I will not be able to contribute to for now. OOT should be ready shortly actually, in a similar fashion to the OOT ones. If you are looking for a project... I think the Minish Cap ones would be a good start. Then temporary pages for the other games. I think the figures for Minish Cap work best, just because they are all already uploaded and they guarantee consistency. At the very least, it can be temporary until I can collect a complete sprite set in the same style as the other 2d tiles. Whatever works, it's your call. Mases 06:01, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Do you happen to have messenger by any chance? Preferably Skype or MSN/AIM. That would be great. There is a lot I'd like to chat with you about. Mases 09:07, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
