Your edit to Joe Pleiman[]

Hi, Bernd. I recently reverted this edit which you made to the Joe Pleiman page for several reasons:

  1. In articles, it is not acceptable to use abbreviations for regular words (exceptions would be can't, won't, etc. although even these are discouraged), and the community pages are no exception.
  2. Your edit directly contradicts information already on the page without providing any sources. I understand that what is currently on the page is unsourced, but it is true (see this page and scroll all the way to the bottom). The Rabbit Joint is an album, not a band.
  3. I quote: "...in that he resp. the band "The Rabbit Joint", where he was a part of, was the creator of the now famous..." This is not proper punctuation or grammar.

These are the reasons why I reverted your edit. In the future, please take greater care when editing. We want to look as professional as possible.Justin(Talk) 19:34, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi, Justin.

  1. Instead of "resp." (which seemed legit for me like "etc." and "can't") one could use "respectively", so that "problem" would be solved.
  2. Sources were given, see: Community talk:Zelda (Song)#"The Rabbit Joint". Accourding to the sources given there "The Rabbit Joint" was both a band and an album. Members of the band The Rabbit Joint were Joe Pleiman and Jesse Spence. Wether Jesse Spence contributed anything to the Zelda song or not, I don't know, so if he contributed anything then it should be better to name the band as creator and not just one guy of the band. Even your source (http://www.joepleiman.com/joe-pleimans-music) states: "THE RABBIT JOINT – “The Rabbit Joint”_Co-writer, Producer: Releaseed 1998". If one looks at other albums, it's always "<Band/Group> - “<Album>”" (e.g. for Summer Villains see http://www.summervillains.com/press/press.html and http://www.myspace.com/summervillains or for Bluegrazer http://www.bluegrazer.com/pages/framepage.html and http://www.myspace.com/bluegrazer , which with the cdbaby.com links on Pleiman's page should proof that they're bands), and Joe Pleiman himself declares that he was only a co-writer (thus there has to be someone else who worked on the album).
  3. I guess, I'm not seeing your point here, even though it maybe doesn't sound that good. So, please feel free to fix it.
