Twili Midna is a playable Warrior in Hyrule Warriors,[name reference needed] first appearing in the Twilight Princess Pack DLC. She is the true form of Midna from Twilight Princess. In Hyrule Warriors Legends she is unlocked as a Reward for Battle Victory in Battle A16 of the Adventure Map. In Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, she is unlocked as a Reward for Battle Victory in Battle C6 of the Adventure Map.

Biography

Twili Midna is the form that Midna held prior to being cursed to resemble an imp by Cia. It is her true form, and can only be held by Midna by breaking the curse placed on her or by wielding the Shadow Crystal. She attacks using the Mirror, a Weapon based on the Mirror of Twilight. The Mirror is influenced by Midna's power to warp objects in Twilight Princess such as her own Zant's Hand for melee attacks, Sols, Sky Cannon Link used to reach the City in the Sky to fires Sols, the Bridge of Kakariko Gorge and Twili Wolves that appear gigantic compared to her Imp form. Her Focus Spirit attack is a reenactment of the ending of Twilight Princess where she shattered the Mirror of Twilight, though in this case she apparently shatters reality itself.

Twili Midna appears in the "Her True Self" Scenario of Linkle's Tale. At some point after Link received the legendary Master Sword, Zelda and Midna leave their group to wander off to the Palace of Twilight, upon hearing a "mysterious darkness" has entered the domain. Coincidentally, Linkle happens to get lost there; the young villager suddenly finds a magical black crystal that so happens to restore the imp Midna to her true form, Twili Midna.

When defeated in Hyrule Warriors, Twili Midna drops the same Materials as her cursed form, dropping Midna's Hair as a silver Material and Midna's Fused Shadow as a gold Material. However, in Hyrule Warriors Legends and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, Twili Midna drops her own unique Materials when defeated. She may either drop her Hairpin as a silver Material, or her Robe as a gold Material.
