"Trial of Thunder" is a Shrine Quest in Breath of the Wild.

Overview

This Shrine Quest begins automatically once Link enters the Thundra Plateau.[1] With a thunderstorm raging, Link must place four spheres into the slots matching the stone pillars[2] in order to reveal the Toh Yahsa Shrine.

The fours spheres are located on and directly around the plateau. The red sphere is located on top of a stone statue east of the plateau. Link can climb up to the sphere, or knock the sphere off the top using Stasis and arrows. By using Stasis on the sphere, Link can knock the sphere up onto the plateau using weapons or bombs. The orange sphere is atop a taller stone statue directly north of the plateau. Link can use the same tactics to knock the sphere down, and then up onto the plateau.

On the plateau, the green sphere sits atop the southern pillar. Again, Link can use arrows to knock the sphere down. The purple sphere sits near the north pillar on the ground. Once the purple, red, green, and orange spheres are placed, respectively, in the north, east, south, and west pillars' slots, the Toh Yahsa Shrine will appear, and the Quest will be complete.
