The Treasure Hunter is a character in A Link Between Worlds.[name reference needed]

Biography[]

The Treasure Hunter of Hyrule appears inside the various Treasure Hunter Caves hidden throughout the world, where large sums of Rupees can be obtained. Upon speaking to him, he will ponder aloud how he might get to the Cave's treasure, essentially providing Link with hints.[citation needed]

A Treasure Hunter clothed in black and red appears in Lorule, in a Treasure Hunter Cave near Misery Mire. He claims to be a professional who cannot go anywhere without being recognized.[1] He hints to Link that to complete the Cave's puzzle, he will need the Sand Rod and the Tornado Rod.[2][3]

As Link completes the Treasure Hunter Caves, the Treasure Hunter begins to suspect that a competitor may be afoot, while failing to realize that it is Link whose abilities surpass his own.[citation needed] Though the Treasure Hunter never manages to claim any treasures, he is able to partially complete the puzzle in a particular Cave east of Hyrule's Graveyard.[citation needed]
