Bumbling Moblin (The Moblins are Revolting)

A bumbling Moblin breaks the staff

A squad of Moblins and Goriyas attack North Castle, but due to their clumsiness, they defeat each other without Link having to intervene. After berating his minions for failing yet again, Ganon shows them his new Capture Staff, which will allow anyone captured with it to be trapped inside an indestructible bubble that only the Triforce of Power can break.[1] The Moblins and Goriyas complain to each other and blame their failure on Ganon.[2][3] After Ganon traps a Moblin inside a bubble and shows him the only way to free himself, the Moblin steals the Capture Staff and traps Ganon inside the indestructible bubble,[4] pushing him inside the Bottomless Pit to prevent him from ever touching the Triforce and bursting the bubble.[5] Unfortunately, a bumbling Moblin breaks the Capture Staff as soon as Ganon is captured. The Moblin leader then frees the rest of the monsters inside the Evil Jar, celebrating that they are in charge now.[6] Calling themselves the Brotherhood of Underworld Monsters, the minions lay siege to North Castle and demand Princess Zelda's surrender.[7]

Monsters 2 (The Moblins Are Revolting)

Ganon's minions surround the castle

Meanwhile, Ganon tries to find a way to stop the bubble from floating down the bottomless pit. He realizes that even though his magic can't break the bubble, it can still work inside the bubble, and creates a balloon to float back up to the surface.[8] The Moblins are botching their attempts to attack the castle, by accidentally shooting their own troops and the like.[9] One of them manages to make it inside the castle and reveals to Link and Zelda that they got rid of Ganon and that they're in charge now.[10] After Link zaps it, he and Zelda head to the Underworld to retrieve the now-unguarded Triforce of Power.[11] When they get there, a Dodongo attacks them by surprise but Zelda defeats it by throwing a bomb at its mouth. Just as Zelda is about to grab the Triforce of Power while Link is worried he'll be out of a job,[12][13] Ganon reaches his lair once again, but the heroes are pleasantly surprised to see that the evil wizard is completely helpless inside the bubble.[14] Link begins taunting him and tossing the bubble around while Zelda insists that they just take the Triforce and leave.[15] Link's goofing around causes the bubble to touch the Triforce, releasing Ganon, so the heroes are forced to leave without it.[16] Ganon teleports his minions back into his lair and orders them to clean it with their tongues.[17]

Back at the castle, Zelda is angry at Link for ruining their chances at getting the Triforce of Power,[18] but the young hero is relieved that he at least still has a job.[19]
