Need

Hmm... I'm not sure we need this page. The only pages that would have any sort of offensive content (most likely language) would be community pages, which most people probably wouldn't go to (let's face it, most people coming to Zelda Wiki probably want Zelda information). Not only that, but it would create something else that would have to be deleted if the offending content were to be removed. I may be wrong here, though, so I'll wait for others' opinions. --Ando (T) 03:13, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes but someone who didn't want to see anything inappropriate might stumble across a community article and see language or sexual themes. I can relate to this because that's exactly what happened to me. I wouldn't want my little sister to find some of the things on those articles. And David said he want's the same thing for his little brother. Like I said before. You come to a zelda wiki expecting the articles to be clean. It's a real shock when you find "Zelda f-----g universe is mine" or others like it.--Link hero of light 03:31, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

This is actually a good Idea. Ando, you of all people should know that. You just deleted an inappropriate photo a couple of days ago, as well today just after your comment above. This template is the most responsible way for ZeldaWiki to handle potentially offensive content.--Matt 04:22, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

But, my probablem with this is that it let's worthless info (how much offensive stuff should be in a nintendo, zelda wiki. (nintendo is the family friendly of the three ;) ) The correct answer: none. Therefore this really shouldn't exist, along with the offensive content. Basically, creating this allows the offensive content to continue its existance on the wiki, and the freedom of doing so permits it to continue. Rather kill the root than cut the stem, right?--Magnus orion 04:40, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, the only reason i made this is because i'm trying to be neutral. I mean, it's a community page. I don't want people to lose their fun. I'm trying to be a nice person by allowing people to put their offensive content on a Zelda wiki, while in return, i make it so that most of the time people who may be offended can be able to prevent looking at such content. Notice how i said most? It's pretty much impossible to block a picture/article using a template since here is the one link a template can't cover; the Random Page/Image button. So no one here who's for the pages to not be blocked have that one link, so don't complain. All i'm doing is making the wiki a little nicer to such people who are easily offended. And even better, the page is still HERE. And bout my bro, it's a good thing that it's hard to find these pages, thank god. --David (T : C) 10:57, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree with Ando. Where's the applicability? If it's offensive, it should be removed from the article or wiki. It doesn't belong. What's the point of adding this if we're just going to remove it anyway? Pages get vandalized, there's no helping that, so we'd basically have to mark every page to ensure that everyone knows that it can be. Which they should know already, it's a wiki. Saibh 11:07, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

The point, Saibh, is that usually, they DON'T GET DELETED.Because these pages are usually allowed by Jason even so far as calling the article Capn vs Jew "loltastic", he usually says that they will not be deleted and usually aren't. So I want to make this so that we can at least protect some of our younger viewers and people who may be offended by the material. --David (T : C) 11:15, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

I have an idea. And just so everyone knows, i'm not trying to make enemies. And now that i think about, my bro will never sethis, because heis too lazy to find it. So ya know what, i don't care anymore. If you want it deleted, do so. If you want it blocked, go for it. I'm done making enemies. --David (T : C) 13:05, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Maybe i'll change it to something like this --David (T : C) 13:37, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

I still think it's a good idea to have this. David is right the pictures don't get deleted. They are allowed. There should be a warning.--Link hero of light 14:48, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Well... first and foremost, this is a community-driven site. So if the community says (as there seems to be an overwhelming positive vote) that we should do this, I've no right to stop you. I guess I'm not really worried about MY little siblings seeing it as it's all on the community pages which they'd have to be going to intently in order to see in the first place... And they hardly ever come to the Wiki to begin with. But hey! If you guys want to start adding this, go on ahead. I suppose any issues can be tweaked out in the long run. --Ando (T) 16:42, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Also, I didn't know that Bulbapedia had a block for Shipping articles. That's actually pretty amusing. :P

Delete. --Seablue254 18:04, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Again, Sea, we have the {{delete}} tag for a reason. :P --Ando 18:38, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Also, the template is actually being used for File:Zfu.jpg. Do we still want it deleted? --Ando 18:40, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
This talk here did at least inspire me to improve the delete template. But I don't have an opinion on keeping this or not. I;m staying neutral.—Matt(T C H) 18:48, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
I've resolved the situation with the one image which provoked the creation of this template. It is now unused and unnecessary, and can be deleted. --Adam 20:13, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
The change it good. It is the same thing I did to censor the same word on my page. Isn't there other images that need censorship? Or do you already have that planned.—Matt(T C H) 20:15, June 22, 2008 (UTC)
It has a banner. Nao, as the author, i request it be deleted. Adam, do your thing. --Seablue254 20:21, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

First the noclog and now this one. That's two notice templates we've shot down. Okay noclog is still used. It just isn't necessary anymore.—Matt(T C H) 20:24, June 22, 2008 (UTC)
