"Zant bears an uncanny resemblance to Onox and Veran. Given that Twilight Princess is full of references and close similarities to Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Ages, this is probably not purely by coincidence." Not...really?
Besides being an evil villain working under Ganondorf (just like Agahnim, or Vaati at one point), there's not any real similarity I can see. Possibly the pointy helmet, but Zant's doesn't even have the same motif as Onox's - the pointiness is a coincidence.
What other similarities are there?
So, what's wrong with that? I'm sure we'd find it difficult to think up a completely different storyline of character for each game. I guess they have to link up all the games somehow.
I'm taking this out "is is probably not purely by coincidence."". This article is no place for speculaiton from overzealous Zelda fanatics. If we are to include anything in this, it has to be fact, not speculation.
Is it just me, or is 1/2 of the miscellaneous section completely worthless? Stuff about fanfics and Harry Potter, in my mind, have no place in an otherwise wonderful article. Hisak 15:02, 31 July 2007 (PDT)
Zant one of the hardest bosses??
*trying not to bust up laughing* Oh my gosh. First of all, that is entirely opinionated. Second of all, it's not true. I lost like three hearts beating the dude, and I'm not that good. Come on. Morpheel was harder. --Myth (talk) 15:56, 14 September 2007 (EDT)

Zant is not a Harry Potter Character.
While most of the points that have been made over the past couple of months that compares Zant to Harry Potter characters such as he looks like Lord Voldemort and acts like Bellatrix Lestrange seem to hold some truth, they are pointless. Nintendo did not design Zant or Twilight Princess after J.K. Rowling's book series, if they had then I am pretty sure J.K. Rowling would have sued by now.
Even if Zant was based on elements in Harry Potter, there is no need to compare him to characters outside of the Legend of Zelda series because those characters are not in the Zelda series and unlike the the reference to Emily Rose they do not create a possibility that helps to understand what happpened to Zant. Thus so far, the comparisons between the two series provides no relevant comparison that should be in this article.
So whoever is doing it, please stop.
You're right, Zant bears no resemelance to You-know-who, he does not act like Bellatrix. Just like you said Rowling would of sued Nintendo.--Link hero of light 12:32, 7 December 2007 (EST)
NO WAY!!! Zant is, if a cameo at all, is Asaj Venress (or however thats spelled) from starwars or vica-verca Dragontine
Dude Zant is not only the easist boss but he's my favorite. When I went to fight him for the first time my friend's like "You're gonna go fight Zant with 5 hearts!" ~Kailuh
This has nothing to do with the article
But Zant was my favorite boss up until the actual time you fought him. I'm really hoping he was possessed because I would be dissapointed for him to be a comic villain as he was built up to be a very intimidating person
What's the strange hissing noise that is made when ever Zant appears? It reminds me of a pterodactyl. --Link hero of light 21:48, 17 December 2007 (EST)
- Maybe your TV I couldn't really here any hissing just a lot of grunting and whining from him. Really I still consider him the worst boss ever. Zant deserved his own battle style and stage instead of a compilation of all the other bosses/mini-bosses.--Green 02:48, 18 December 2007 (EST)
Maybe I should rephrase "hissing" to "chime". It can't be my TV because I hear it in videos on You Tube, and why did you tell me that Zant is the worst boss ever, I didn't ask you if you thought he was a good boss are a bad boss? Did you get me confused with another user? --Link hero of light 13:47, 18 December 2007 (EST)
As with most smaller wikis (although this is one of the larger smaller), fandom runs rampant. I've noted this before, and I'd just like to say that, if you read an encyclopedia, if you go to the "perfect" Wikipedia articles, you'll notice that they stay away from speculation, favor fact and canon. Theories don't belong in here unless it's something that is widely, generally, accepted. Otherwise it lessens the quality of the article. Those theories are simply that--theories. All of them "adds" something that is not in the game to fit it's needs. Something that is outside and is the last, unseen, component. That makes it speculation. That means it shouldn't be a part of the article. Saibh 14:37, 20 March 2008 (EDT)
How about if we add a section to the article all about theories about Zant.--Link hero of light 19:42, 20 March 2008 (EDT)
That was how it was before, but like Saibh, another user thought that the theories were fandom. And he/she just removed it.--Green 19:46, 20 March 2008 (EDT)
- Would it just be better to have an article based on major theories in the Zeldaverse? Hmm...as this is supposed to be an encyclopedia, I just think that theories should be condensed where they belong: in a theories section. Hmm...maybe I should make a movement about this. Saibh 20:51, 20 March 2008 (EDT)
Talk to Eponasowner. He's a member thoght a theory page would be good idea. I oposed it at the time, but since this has all happened, it might be a good idea.--Link hero of light 21:19, 20 March 2008 (EDT)
Hello. My name's PhantomHeartless5. I just got on this wiki and wanted to ask. Is it all right if I add a characteristics section showcasing Zant's Appearance, Personality, and Abilities? I thought I'd ask before making big changes.—Preceding unsigned comment added by PhantomHeartless5 (talk) 14:46, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know what the rest of the wiki thinks, but I would personally like us not to become another manga-wiki clone.KrytenKoro (talk) 13:26, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
Teeth or spit?
One thing I never was quite sure on; but when we sometimes get a closeup of his mouth, like his appearance in the Lanyru's spring, he's got these 'threads' going up and down the inside of his mouth. Are those needle-like teeth, or stringy saliva between his lips? --Xu-kitty (talk) 02:31, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
