Sword Images

If someone has time, it'd look good to take the images for the Gilded Sword and the Great Fairy's Sword and photoshop a white background.

Page deletion

Not sure where the proper discussion for deletion should start, but I believe this page should be deleted and each individual sword given its own page, and insertion into the 'Swords' item category. A list of 'swords from Majora's Mask' should be created as an item sub-category, such as 'Majora's Mask items', 'Ocarina of Time items', etc. Just my two rupees. -- Jibegod 05:47, 6 January 2007 (CST)

"Kokiri Sword"

I actually remember going to the Equipment Screen with the "Kokiri" Sword, and I remember the weapon actually being called the Hero's Sword by the game. Just mentioning it before I go and edit the page, if I edit it. -- Sk8torchic

Actually, looking through the game's text dump, the sword is called the Kokiri Sword throughout the game. Here's the text from the equipment screen:
"Kokiri Sword - The trusty sword you're familiar with that's from Kokiri Forest."
That's straight from the Majora's Mask text dump. "Hero's Sword" doesn't appear anywhere in the game. There's a Hero's Shield and a Hero's Bow, but that's it. --Ando (Talk) 12:38, 2 March 2008 (EST)

Soul Calibur II

In Soul Calibur II, both the razor sword and the great fairy sword appear, the later as a one handed varient and Link's most powerful weapon in the game. However, I don't know the official terminology for swords, and I saw sub-legendary used in the Biggoron article--Magnus orion 22:22, 23 March 2008 (EDT)

Well, the Link in SCII is an adult, so he can hold the Great Fairy Sword with one hand no problem. As the Great Fairy Sword is given by a Great Fairy, is supposedly has magical properties. The Biggoron's Sword is just a expertly crafted sword, powerful yes, but nothing more. However, in Majora's Mask, the only sword to display obvious magical properties is the Fierce Deity Sword. The magic of the spin attack comes from Link not the swords.--Matt 13:56, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Great Fairy's Sword and Fierce Deity's Sword

From a technical standpoint, and from playing around a bit with the game's code, these two swords actually reference the same value- One is just altered in appearance when Link transforms. This would mean that the energy beam technically comes out of the Fierce Deity himself, and not the sword. Maybe this should be noted in the article? VGMoose 08:57, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, the beams only come out when you swing the sword. Now they are meant to come out of the sword. But this is a early game. That'd be very hard to program. It is easier just to have it come out of Fierce Deity Link. So it is just a corner that was cut. We could say where it comes from, but it is still intended to be from the sword.User:Matt/sig 14:48, August 27, 2008 (UTC)

Light Arrows

It's been my experience (tested today) that Light Arrows take 3 hits to kill a Dodongo (the large variety north of Clock Town). Ancblue52 04:01, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Has nobody else tested this? It's still 3 hits for me. Is my game glitching, am I crazy, or is this wrong? Ancblue52 23:38, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
I just tested this, actually, and you're right. Three hits is what it takes. User:Ando/sig 00:01, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Great! Thanks for confirming. It's been adjusted now. Ancblue52 00:04, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Korkiri Sword Visual Differences

If its the exact same sword, in both games, why does it look so different? Nicktheslayer 05:06, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Double Helix Sword

Where the heck is the kanji for this coming from? If we have an official name, why is it being described as a fan name? If we don't have an official name, why are we making up nihongo?KrytenKoro 17:52, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

That's a good question. Neither 鬼神リンク刀 or 二重螺旋刀 show up on ZL's Japanese text dump. If either of them are official names, they would have to from the Shogakukan guide for Majora's Mask. We would need someone who owns the guide to shed light on this. Fizzle might have it. — Hylian King [*] 20:50, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
So, we're finally gonna get a real name! Nine more days...we should also burn the fake names with divine fire, in celebration.KrytenKoro (talk) 04:40, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
...or not, as it seems they've managed to avoid the issue by naming the mask instead of the sword. Can we still burn the OR names?KrytenKoro (talk) 18:54, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
