Move[]

How happy are we with this:

Spells of Ocarina of Time moved to Godesses spells: Zelda also uses them in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so calling the article "Spells of Ocarina of Time" makes the title giving incorrect information.

I know I'm not, for a couple of reasons:

  1. The SSB series is not canon to the Zelda series, so its games shouldn't have any bearing on the naming of articles.
  2. I don't recall the term "goddesses spell" (shouldn't that be goddesses' or goddesses's?) being used in OoT, and if it was used in SSB see point 1.

Any thoughts? —Adam (talk) 17:35, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I was a little concerned about this as well. "Goddesses' [the correct plural] spells" was never used in ANY game. I do think that the Smash Bros. info should be kept in the article as it is relevant to the topic at hand; I do not agree with the moving of the page, though, given that Smash isn't canon (not to mention that it created several double redirects). --Ando (T) 17:40, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
OK, so we're moving it back in it's current state to the original name? Any objections? —Adam (talk) 18:24, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
I'll take that as a "no"... —Adam (talk) 15:08, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Picture[]

I was just wondering, Could we possibly get a picture of faroe's wind without Epona superimposed over link. Its a glitch shot, and it makes the picture obscure...--Magnus orion 22:47, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Done. --Adam 06:40, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Nayru's Love[]

There's an error in the article's description of Nayru's Love in terms of gameplay. The spell cannot be activated and deactivated at the player's command, draining magic power at a constant rate like the Lens of Truth. It works like the other two spells, it drains a portion of the player's magic and negates damage for a temporary amount of time (until the shield fades). During that time you cannot use any other items that drain magic. Likewise the tactic used to "cheat" the Lens of Truth's magic drain cannot be used for this spell. However the Magic Armor in Wind Waker, which has the same effect of negating the damage but not the knock back of enemy attacks does drain magic at a constant rate -- Fire Keaton 10:20, 02 June 2008 (UTC)

Shadow Temple[]

Is it not possible to light all the torches at the door of the Shadow Temple with fire arrows? I'm sure it's possible to bring enough arrows and green potion, but do the torches go out after some time? Also, if the door is opened when Link is a child, will it stay open, or do you need to open it again as an adult? Jimbo Jambo 09:34, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

It can only be opened with Din's Fire. They go out over time. And I think the door closes back up.Matt (Talk) 09:42, January 24, 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I see. I was wondering about the possibility of lighting the torches with a Deku stick using the torch outside (I believe there is one outside, right?), but if the door closes after you become an adult... Jimbo Jambo 18:13, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Images[]

I don't see how the new images added to this page are better than the previous ones. OK, so I made them and they're hardly professionally done, but surely a transparent (or faux-transparent :p) background is better than a big block of white? Maybe Steve could work his magic on these? Adam [ talk ] 19:55, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

The effects and color of the new ones are a little better, but the older ones have no background, which is the standard we like to stick to. I'll see if I can render these new ones, as they do look nicer.Steve 20:04, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Farore's Wind thumbnail[]

Maybe it's just on my end, but the new version broke it, sorry. - PPLToast (talk) 16:50, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
