Talk:Sacred Flames

It's never outrigtht stated what the sacred flames are and if they have another purpose other than to temper the Goddess Sword, but could there be a connection to the three flames in the Oracle Series and is this trivia worthy or too far-fetched? --ShardofTruth 11:59, 6 February 2012 (EST)

I'd wager it's probably closer to a stretch than anything, but I can see where you're coming from--there's a Din where Destruction originates, there's a Nayru where Sorrow originates, and had that third Oracle game made it to fruition, odds are Farore'd be connected to Despair. Of course, both sets of flames have pretty much completely opposite purposes from what is known...--Shiningpikablu252 12:24, 6 February 2012 (EST)
Interestingly in The Minish Cap Farore's charm colors Link's tunic purple, the same color as the Flame of Despair. Although I admit that the connection to the four Links is intended and in the end the two flame sets seem to just have in common that they are flames of some importance. I still like the corrupting the Goddesses's ideals idea: Power leads to Destruction, Wisdom leads to Sorrow and Courage to Despair. --ShardofTruth 20:53, 6 February 2012 (EST)
