Hero Mode

Why is this mode considered separate from Hero Mode, when it's functionally the same thing? Drillzer (talk) 10:02, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

Not really. Master Mode has unique features such as enemies with regenerating health and a new tier of enemies. There's also the fact that the developers decided not to call it Hero Mode as well, meaning that it's intended to be a different mode. - Chuck * (Talk) 03:37, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
Those are still changes done just to make the game harder, similarly to the ones from Hero Mode. New Game Plus has more differences from Second Quest than Master Mode does from Hero Mode, and yet it shares its article with Second Quest. If anything, Master Mode is just a variant of Hero Mode. The actual name of the "new game plus" is also Second Quest, hence why they are in the same page. - Chuck * (Talk) 19:42, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
I'm aware of that. That still doesn't explain why we consider Master Mode separate from Hero Mode, rather than just a name change. When it boils down to it, both are just "hard mode". In fact, Master Mode was originally called Hard Mode. Drillzer (talk) 20:34, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
Simply because they don't share the same name and have notable differences. Unless there's an official source that states that they're meant to be the same mode, they should remain split. - Chuck * (Talk) 04:38, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
And what criteria are we using to decide what's considered a separate thing and what's just a name change? There's no official source claiming that the Dig Caves from TP are considered the same thing as the Grottoes from previous 3d games, and yet we're treating them as the same.
