Queen Gohma and Deku Nut Glitch[]

In a few older versions of Nintendo 64 OoT, throwing a Deku Nut at Queen Gohma to stun her would result in the game freezing. This is known to happen on at least version 1.0 of the game, and may have been fixed in version 1.2. Granted I may have gotten the version numbers mixed up, but I do know that one of the versions will result in freezing. I have played the version 1.2 rom and didn't encounter the glitch there, so this may have to be tested on version 1.0 and such.

The glitch was fixed in Master Quest for the GCN. It may also have been fixed for the VC version, but I'm not entirely sure.

This glitch *may* have been fixed in the Australian and Japanese version of Master Quest for the Nintendo 64. (Yes, Master Quest for the N64 does exist, but was only released in Japan and Australia.) But again, I'm not too sure about this either.

I can tell that this glitch will probably need numerous testing. -The Goron Moron 03:23, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it does work in very early versions, so I've added to the OoT Glitch Page... - M E L C H I Z E D E K  (TALK) 23:39, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Get The Sun's Mask Before Day 3[]

Not possible. You can get into the hideout before Day 3. But you cannot actually get beyond the first room until Day 3.Matt (Talk) 00:20, December 3, 2008 (UTC)

  • I made it to the room next to the room with the two Deku Babas. ...and yes, I HAVE killed them both before with Zora Link's bomarang like fins. [Hard to do, and only got it done once.] I got lucky... Zien 01:06, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
  • I remember that I was facing the back wall in which Link was in, and shooting the fins high above the wall. [The room with many red switches, and one blue switch. I think it is the second room across, bottom level.] Somehow, they went from behide that back wall, to the sides of the far wall in the other room. Now that I think of it, they might of bounched off the metal door, and into the other room. Where, one/two fins hit the Deku Baba, and killed it. Just because it is almost impossible, doesn't mean it can't be done. I think it is safe to say that this could be one of the hardest glitches in the whole series. [Once it is proven true.]

  • I have tried this one and seen it tried many times, and have not yet successfully gotten the sun mask. @ Matt. You can easily get past the first room. Once entering the hideout early, if you transform into Goron Link, you can push the switch and roll into the next room. From there I've Bomchu Hovered over the conveyer belt to kill the enemies. In the end I tried everything I had, and couldn't quite make the end, especially in the time limit, but you can pass the first room. - M E L C H I Z E D E K  (TALK) 09:41, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
  • Bombchu Hover? Why didn't I think of it before? [Maybe because I never successfully done it...] Did you try playing the Inverted Song of Time before you entered the hideout? You can pretty much have almost unlimited time once you have done that. [Until the dawn of day four, that is.] Once I perfected the Bombchu Hover glitch, I WILL prove this possible. [Hopefully.]

-Zien 23:36, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

That is not the first room. That is the second room. I got trapped in the first room once because it wouldn't let me through the door. It doesn't seem to do this all the time before the third day. It may have been on a loop where I stopped Sakon from stealing the bomb bags. You can get to the last room. But I don't see a way to get the Mask. Unless that Elegy of Emptiness works in there. I'm not sure. Here's a video.Matt (Talk) 00:00, January 1, 2009 (UTC)

The Elegy of Emptiness doesn't work in the hideout... *Watches video.* User:Austin2862/sig 01:17, 1 January 2009 (UTC) EDIT: Aw, what a shame. It could be done if you didn't play the Song of Inverted Time, but no one is that fast. I guess the glitch dies here, then.  :)

Okay, this glitch is most likely not possible. (I just tried it on the GCN version... It took a few tries to get to the last room, but then there was no way to get both switches down.) So though we can't add this, I will give it a mention in the enter Sakon's hideout early glitch, as it is nevertheless memorable. Nevertheless, onto investigating the above glitch folks. - M E L C H I Z E D E K  (TALK) 23:47, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Tail Cave and Eagle Boss Fight Glitches[]

I posted it as Glitch Dungeon because there is so much more you can do with it, but it is the same glitch. I have not foucht any bosses or even seen Eagle Tower in glitch dungeon on my game, but it looks exactly like what you would see in glitch dungeon. Gillispie 23:20, 17 January 2009 (UTC0

Total Redo Of The "Glitches Yet To Be Proven/Disproven" Section[]

I have been thinking, the section is very big/long. However, there is a way we could cut the length in half, but still keep everything. Instead of posting:

*Glitch Name ((Game(s) With Glitch)) Extra Details If There Are Any
LinkToVideoOfGlitch

We could set it up like the following:

*[LinkToVideoOfGlitch ((Game(s) With Glitch))] Extra Details If There Are Any

Like I've said before, this will cut the length of the section in half, and make it easier to scroll down. But, the thing is... will it be worth it? Is it even worth it? I'll do it if you all think it would be a good idea. User:Austin2862/sig 01:34, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Kill the Killer Bees Glitch True[]

I recently seen the video for Kill the Killer Bees from The Wind Waker on youtube, and I realized that I have performed this glitch several times a couple of years ago. It is true, although I performed it next to the jail, and you can also use Potova and Joanna instead of the Killer Bees for this glitch. However, to kill Potova and Joanna, you have to use the dock near the King of Red Lions. Keep pushing either Potova or Joanna, talking to them frequntley so they don't try to run off. Push them all the way to the dock, then push them into the water. They should drop off the screen entirely. Actually, you can do this with any area with water as long as it's deep enough.

If a glitch is true, that is that you performed it and proved it as true... then take it off the list and add it to the correct glitch page. User:Austin2862/sig 03:56, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Other Games[]

So we have pages for hacks and glitches in the Super Smash Bros. series, Soul Calibur II and Captian Rainbow. I'm sure Captain Rainbow is a great game, and SCII was fantastic, but I don't think the little Zelda references they have warrant this much attention. Glitches and hacks in the Smash Bros. series are being covered amazingly by SSBWiki. Do we really need to delve into the games' programming faults? — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  13:37, 25 December 2010 (EST)

Giving it the axe[]

This page has been completely abandoned, and I don't see it ever getting picked back up. The delete template has been on it for years, and I think it's time to come to a decision. Do we axe it? Or are there people willing to do something with it? Thoughts, please.Justin(Talk) 02:57, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Hey Justin,
I personally think you should axe it. If a glitch is true then put it on its rightful page but if not, then why even mention the glitch in the first place if it's fake??? So to sum it all up, you should axe it. — GeneralTarken [*] 03:06, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
Tarken, Please use colons at the beginning of a line when you are replying to a comment. It makes it easier to read the different replies on a page. For example, if you are the fifth comment, use four colons (::::) at the beginning of the line. For each <br/>, you'll also have to redo the colons. Just makes things easier to read.Justin(Talk) 03:23, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
