Undead category[]
Add him? He's only been undead in 1/2 game, so I'm not sure. IfIHaveTo (talk) 13:13, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- He's been undead before so this would qualify for the category. (Note) — 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 (𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤) 20:31, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
Terminan?[]
Why is Dampé in the category of Terminan? Scattergories (talk) 17:54, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Oh okay, sorry my mistake. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 17:24, April 22, 2009 Scattergories
- Is the Dampé in Majora's Mask the same Dampé from Ocarina and Minish Cap? I assumed not. I thought there were different versions of the character throughout the timeline with the same name, like Link, Zelda, Malon, etc. So one version lives in Termina and others live in Hyrule; articles like Banker, Postman, and Grog have categories for Hyrulean and Terminan. And I don't know if Tingle is one person or not, but his article also lists him as a Hyrulean and a Terminan. Makar Rocks (talk) 12:29, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Name Origin?[]
I'm thinking he was named after Danté, the guy who wrote about the seven circles of hell. Seems appropriate for such a macabre character; is it worthy of a trivia mention? Dekler (talk) 18:35, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
- I sincerely doubt that Dampé has any relation to Dante Alighieri apart from the "macabre" factor and the similar-sounding first names. Dante was a poet that most notably worked on the religious literature in the Divine Comedy. However, Dampé is a gravekeeper that most notably worked on looking gruesome and digging holes.
On a more serious note, I really see no reasonable connection between them. If Dampé's story alluded to the Inferno, Purgatorio or Paradiso to any significant degree, then I would perhaps consider the possibility. - TonyT S C 19:48, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
