Crimson Loftwing an Agent of The Goddess?

I posted this on the page (I didn't know theories were discussed first, whoops):

Due to the nature of its sudden resurgence when the breed was thought extinct, and judging from the profound bond it shares with Link, it's possible that the Crimson Loftwing is a symbol marking The Goddess's Chosen Hero, which would make it one of Her agents. Its place on the Hylian Shield would also support this.

This isn't a theory I stumbled across elsewhere, or anything. It's just some speculation I've put together for myself. Also, I'm discussing Crimson Loftwings in general, as well as the one unique to Skyward Sword Link.

Given the way that destiny is a major theme of the Zelda series in general, I find it hard to believe it was coincidence that not only was a Crimson Loftwing suddenly born after being thought extinct, but it was suddenly born around the same time Link was; and that not only did the two bond instantly, but their bond was the deepest bond known in all of Skyloft. (Gaebora even comments "they were meant for each other.") The nature of Link's bond with his bird is important to note due to the fact he shared a similar bond with Zelda. And since Her Grace, The Goddess Hylia (I love calling her that) pretty much rigged Link's bond with Zelda, it stands to reason that She may have done the same with his Loftwing.

Then there's the thing where Loftwings were considered guardians appointed by the Goddess, Herself, which may or may not have been literal, or may at least have been literal to some extent (choosing the giant birds as their guardians instead of some other creature, rather than having a divine hand in each individual pairing). The same goes for whether or not Loftwings were supposed to be literal protectors.

Another thing I included was the fact that the bird present on the Hylian Shield was also red, and since the Goddess's Chosen Hero is the only one capable/worthy enough to win it, the red may very well be deliberately symbolic of his bird. (This is all in-universe speculation, by the way. The real world reason that it was red is most likely because the bird has always been red.)

Plus there are dozens of other objects that can only come into the possession of, and various idiosyncrasies that can only be attributed to, The Goddess's Chosen Hero. Like how the green knight clothing suits Link well despite looking tacky on everyone else; and (big one) the way his name is always Link (and Zelda's is always Zelda). It's just how it works out.

I'll conclude by saying that I don't think the Crimson Loftwing was an agent of The Goddess Hylia in the same sense that Impa was; rather it was just a unique something that was reserved only for Her Chosen Hero, akin to a badge or something else that would be symbolic of his legacy and role.

I'm really on the fence about this one. You put forth good points, but it's all speculation and I just hate to put a lot of speculation in articles. I guess I'll just see what other people have to say.User:Justin/sig 00:10, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
It's a reasonable and well-supported theory if ever there was one. Since it's a personal theory, though, I just don't think it's appropriate for the wiki given our policy on the matter. Only theories that show evidence to support them and have a reasonable amount of support or acceptance within the Zelda community tend to be added to articles. This theory certainly has the former, but it unfortunately does not have the latter. — Hylian King [*] 00:32, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

That's fair. Thanks. Damaijin 01:10, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Sonic Lost World

this bird and link riding it is present in the legend of zelda zone dlc of sonic lost world i thought that would be noted on this article along with a picture.--0551E80Y (talk) 09:21, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Sonic Lost World is not an official Zelda game, so we don't cover it on the primary page. I have just directed people to the Cameos of The Legend of Zelda page, which is where the information can be found. - TonyT S C 15:09, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
neither is smash bros so why is that noted on this page? --0551E80Y (talk) 21:37, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
