Merge with Bamboo Island[]
As Bamboo Island has nothing on it except for this minigame. This should be merged into the Bamboo Island article, after the fashion of Bug Heaven being on the Bug Rock article. As with Bug Heaven, Clean Cut would redirect to its heading in the resulting Bamboo Island article.--Osteoderm Jacket 18:40, 16 January 2012 (EST)
- I disagree, we could make a mention of it, but it seems to me that most of the wiki articles are seperate for each minigame. Of course, if the same type of minigame, say Archery (idk what its called) they're usually merged in the same article. I think we should see some more opinions before a conclusion is settled upon. - I agree that makes sense if there's more stuff to do in the area than the minigame itself, but Bamboo Island is essentially just a platform for Clean Cut to take place on. It would be like having seperate articles for Fun Fun Island and Dodoh's High Dive, or for the Treasure Chest Shop and the Treasure Chest Contest in Ocarina of Time.--Osteoderm Jacket 21:12, 16 January 2012 (EST)
- Maybe we could have it in both catagories, minigame and place and have a seperate infobox-template for Clean Cut? XXSuperXXNintendoXx 21:16, 16 January 2012 (EST)
- No, multiple infoboxes are something we are trying to avoid (see the discussion going on at Hyrule Castle). Also, I'm not sure with the merging... Bamboo Island could probably mention the goddess cube chests obtainable there to expand it a bit more. Maybe even something about having to talk to Peatrice's dad to advance the LinkxPeatrice sidequest? ;) Just some ideas. :P Dany36 00:33, 17 January 2012 (EST)
- I support the merge. There's no point in having a page for Bamboo Island and a page for Clean Cut, since Clean Cut is the only thing on the island anyway. Xolroc (talk) 14:50, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
- Personally I welcome the idea of merging the articles since both seem to be a little short on their own. I also agree with the fact that Bamboo Island basically only consists of Clean Cut so separating them seems like peeling an orange for the sake of more round objects. - After discussing with other Staff, I've come to the conclusion that these pages will not be merged.
The first point for pro-merge was:"As Bamboo Island has nothing on it except for this minigame."
, but as of now (7 Years Later) the Bamboo Island article consists of more information.
The second point was:"...but Bamboo Island is essentially just a platform for Clean Cut to take place on."
and...since Clean Cut is the only thing on the island anyway.
and the island does have more than just the Clean Cut minigame, like the Goddess's Treasure Chest in the back of the island and the appearance in Hyrule Warriors.
Bamboo Island is a place and the Clean Cut is a minigame, so it makes more sense to remain separate. Although, Clean Cut should be mentioned on the Bamboo Island article in a small section of its own. I know this is a very old discussion, but It never had came to a complete end, so I am ending it now. โ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐๐๐๐ (๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ค) 19:20, 31 December 2019 (UTC)

Peater's dialogue[]
Can anyone add in the dialogue Peater says after beating his 43 cuts record? I can add in the 28+ and under dialogues if necessary, but I can't get over 43. โPreceding unsigned comment added by RupeeUL (talk) 12:30, April 1, 2012โ
Skyward strike[]
The page previously stated that a vertical skyward strike would cause subsequent cuts to count double due to a glitch; this is not a glitch and only somewhat true. A vertical skyward strike (that is, slicing downward) slices the bamboo at a very high point, leaving you with two long chunks of bamboo next to each other as the top half falls down next to the bottom half. This means that subsequent cuts, for a short time, will cut through both the lower half and upper half at the same time, counting as two cuts as expected. The effect ends when the bottom part of the bamboo becomes too short to cut. Xolroc (talk) 14:49, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
