Slippery Station is a location in Spirit Tracks.
Features and Overview
As its name suggests, the inside of the Slippery Station has a Skating Rink, which consists of an icy, slippery floor with several turns. Across this rink are three locked entrances that can only be opened by pressing a switch, and behind each door is a treasure chest. There are three switches that pertain to three different levels: Amateur, Pro, and Champion. By pressing one of those switches, the door that belongs to that certain switch will open for a limited time. Link must reach the door before it closes to be able to reach the treasure and open its contents. The trick lies in that, for example, the Amateur course has less turns and a shorter distance to travel than the Champion course. As such, Link must time his spins correctly so as to not make such a wide turn and cut down in his time.
The rewards for completing each of the courses are as follow:
- Amateur: 300 Rupees
- Pro: Random rare treasure, such as a Palace Dish or Ancient Gold Piece
- Champion: Alchemy Stone
- "Welcome to the Skating Rink! You don't even need skates to skate here! We have three amazing courses: Amateur, Pro, and Champion. Pick your course, step on the switch, then gun it to the treasure!" — Sign (Spirit Tracks)
