The Shada Naw Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Red Giveaway,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine[]

Shada Naw Shrine is located north of Selmie's Spot in the Hebra Mountains. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Shada Naw.[2]

Themes and Navigation[]

Shada Naw Shrine features an Ancient Orb, three fans, a moving platform, a metal block, and a Concave Slot. When the Concave Slot is activated by the Ancient Orb, it raises a Launcher up to Shada Naw's Monk's Pedestal. The fans blow the Ancient Orb from the stone platform over the moving platform, where it then rolls towards a ramp that leads to the Concave Slot.

The Ancient Orb will drop if the moving platform is not next to the wall of the Ancient Shrine when it is blown that way. The fans will also blow the Orb past the ramp, causing it to fall off the side if it is not stopped. Another metal block, hidden in the wall under the ramp, can be partially moved out of the wall.

In order to complete the Trial, Link must be standing on the Launcher when the Ancient Orb activates the Concave Slot. Once this is done, Link will be raised up to the Monk's Pedestal, allowing him to speak to Shada Naw.

Shada Naw will commend Link for completing the Trial, and they give him a Spirit Orb as a reward.[3] The Monk will then wish Link well before fading away.[4]

In a small nook above one of the fans is a metallic Treasure Chest. Inside, Link can find a Great Frostblade
