Podoboo Towers are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][note 1] Podoboo Towers go unnamed in Oracle of Ages. They are a The Legend of Zelda series-exclusive variant of the Lava Bubbles, also named Podoboos, of the Mario series.

Characteristics[]

Oracle of Seasons[]

Podoboo Towers appear in Subrosia, predominately at Lava Lake, in Oracle of Seasons. When they emerge, they stay in place and occasionally release fireballs at Link to push him into the lava. After a short while, they will sink back from where they came and soon resurge. Digging up earth with the Shovel in Subrosia may sometimes dig up a Podoboo Tower. They can be defeated with Sword slashes.

Oracle of Ages[]

Podoboo Towers infest the burning ruins of Symmetry City in Oracle of Ages. When they emerge, they stay in place and occasionally release fireballs at Link. Like in Oracle of Seasons, they can be defeated with Sword slashes. Once Link fixes the Tuni Nut and Symmetry City is restored, Podoboo Towers will disappear from the City.

  1. Podoboo Towers were referred to as Lava Monsters in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages — Official Strategy Guide by BradyGames.[2] However, as this contradicts the name given in Encyclopedia, it is not considered Canon.
