008 (008) Patricia
BotW Hyrule Compendium Patricia
Description
This is Riju's own sand seal. It may look intense, but she dotes on it regularly; the ribbon it wears was a gift from her, and it even has its own pen in Gerudo Town. It's far more agile than any other sand seal and far more outgoing. An ever-reliable partner to Riju, Patricia is always ready to take off through the desert at a moment's notice.
Common Locations
Gerudo Desert
Recoverable Materials
None

Patricia is Lady Riju's favorite Sand Seal.[5] She is blue and has a bow in her hair. Patricia was a gift to Riju from her mother before she passed.[3]

Patricia can be found in the southwestern corner of Gerudo Town, just to the left of Riju's throne. If offered fruit, she will share her wisdom with Link. She likes Wildberries in particular.[2] Her messages can only be translated by those who can truly communicate with her,[6] usually the Gerudo, Padda.[7] Patricia and Riju assist Link in getting near the Divine Beast Vah Naboris while disabling its legs with Bomb Arrows to access the entrance to the Divine Beast.[8]

Tears of the Kingdom[]

When Gerudo Desert has been plagued with a severe sandstorm, Riju has been frequently taking Patricia out as her steed outside the Gerudo Desert. She was first taken to the North Gerudo Ruins where Riju started practicing with her lightning strike attack, an ability she recently learned. During the sandstorm, Patricia was currently unavailable at her pen. Once the sandstorm lifted, Patricia was returned back to her pen.

Like the previous game, Patricia can be fed with fruit to share divine knowledge.[9] For some reason, if fed with a Splash Fruit, she says a series of numbers[10] that not even a Gerudo understands it.

Other Appearances[]
