Description
A spirit of ice has taken the form of this giant dragon. Making its home in the Lanayru region, it's said to have served the Spring of Wisdom since ancient times. An old saying goes, "The dragon ascends to the heavens as the sun begins to set," but nobody has seen this in the current age. The ice that coats its body makes it dangerous to get near, but Naydra bears no ill will toward people.
Common Locations
Mount Lanayru
Recoverable Materials
Unknown

Naydra is one of three roaming Dragons in Hyrule, the others being Dinraal and Farosh. While it cannot be defeated, it does not actively try to harm Link. However, if Link gets too close, he will be frozen by the icy aura surrounding its body unless he possesses the Unfreezable Set Bonus obtained from wearing a full Snowquill Set of Armor that has been enhanced twice by a Great Fairy, or Zant's Helmet. Naydra will drop different Materials if Link shoots it with a Bow. Depending on what part of Naydra is hit, it will drop a Shard of Naydra's Horn, Shard of Naydra's Fang, Naydra's Claw, or Naydra's Scale.

Naydra's Scale can be offered at the Spring of Wisdom to unlock a hidden Ancient Shrine.

Location

Naydra, unlike the other dragons, does not roam Hyrule at first. It is first encountered at the Spring of Wisdom, coiled around Mount Lanayru and infected with Malice. After Link has purified Naydra of the Malice, he obtains Naydra's Scale, which he can offer at the Spring in order to reveal the Jitan Sa'mi Shrine. After being purified, Naydra roams the Lanayru and East Necluda Regions.
