Myahm Agana Shrine, designated by the Trial name Myahm Agana Apparatus, is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

Myahm Agana Shrine is located inside Hateno Village in East Necluda. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by the Shrine's Monk, Myahm Agana.[1]

Themes and Navigation

Inside Myahm Agana Shrine, there is a Gyros, which controls a floating platform. On this floating platform sits a ball, which Link must safely direct through a maze to drop the ball off of the platform. This sends the ball down a slope into a pit which, when filled, lifts a portcullis blocking Link from reaching Myahm Agana. Alternately, the apparatus can be flipped over, and the ball rolled over its flat bottom directly to the target point.[2] The apparatus can even be skipped entirely through precise use of Remote Bombs and shield surfing, to enter the Monk's chamber through its open ceiling.[3] Whatever method Link uses to reach the Monk, Myahm Agana will give him a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial.[4] Afterwards, Myahm Agana will wish Link well before fading away.[5]

A Treasure Chest containing a Phrenic Bow sits inside the platform's maze.
