My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is a downloadable puzzle game for the Nintendo 3DS. It is a Picross-based puzzle spin-off game, also known as a nonogram, with a theme based on Twilight Princess. The game launched as an exclusive My Nintendo award to commemorate the program's launch in each region. It costs 1,000 Platinum Points.[1]

Gameplay

A Picross is a puzzle where square grids must be filled in order to create a picture. Hint numbers are adjacent to each horizontal and vertical row, which indicate how many square grids in that row must be filled. During each puzzle, a timer is given. If the player is able to finish within 60 minutes, the completed picture will be in color. The game includes three modes: regular Picross, Mega Picross, and Micross, the former two sharing the puzzles but in a different order. Mega Picross features larger hint numbers called Mega Numbers, which span over two rows. Micross consists of one overall puzzle and multiple micro puzzles. The pictures in each puzzle are based off of characters and items from Twilight Princess, with the exception of the tutorial puzzles.

Midna provides the player with tutorials and tips on how to complete the puzzles. Several help settings can also be turned on and off, including autocheck and navigation functions, and a Hint Roulette. If on, at the beginning of every puzzle, the Hint Roulette can be spun, filling one horizontal and one vertical row. Navigation provides some numbers in blue which help solving the puzzles more quickly. The autocheck function automatically corrects any grid filled erroneously at the cost of minutes.

Upon completing a puzzle, a Miiverse Stamp is awarded based on the puzzle's solution,[2] which can then be shared on Miiverse. When a mode is fully completed, a gold medal appears next to it. Once every puzzle is completed, the overall best time of each mode appears in the main menu.
