"My Hero" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview
Link can obtain the Quest by speaking to Aliza beneath the "sacred" Tree east of the Outskirt Stable. There, Aliza surprises Link with an accusation that he is the Hero of Hyrule.[2][3] Provided that Link has not yet acquired the Master Sword, Aliza will retract her claim regardless if Link affirms or denies the accusation, claiming that the Hero of Hyrule is equipped with a Legendary Sword.[4][5][note 1] Aliza then asks Link to direct the Hero of Hyrule to her should he find the Hero along his travels, initiating the Quest.
Upon retrieving the Master Sword, Link can return to Aliza underneath her sacred Tree and present it as proof of his status as the Hero of Hyrule.[9][10] Recognizing the Master Sword as the Legendary Sword, Aliza will accept Link as the Hero she has waited for and present him with a Star Fragment.[11][note 2] Afterwards, Aliza will comment on how great it was to meet the Hero, but begrudges the fact that her excitement has dissipated.[13] She then leaves her spot from the base of the Tree, completing the Quest.[14]

- ↑ If Link has already acquired the Master Sword before speaking to Aliza, she will discover that he is the Hero of Hyrule regardless of how Link reacts in return to her.[6][7][8]
