- This article is about the mode in Breath of the Wild. For the recurring harder mode in other games, see Hero Mode.
Master Mode is a mode in Breath of the Wild included in the Expansion Pass DLC Pack 1.
Overview
In Master Mode, all enemies are powered up by one level, regain health over time, and detect Link's approach easier. New, stronger versions of enemies are also introduced while removing weaker variations such as red Bokoblins. Enemies and Treasure Chests may also appear floating in the sky on planks.[1]
Save data for Master Mode is kept separate from save data in regular mode.[2]
