Key Masters are enemies in Spirit Tracks.

Characteristics

These foes appear in some dungeons whenever Link tries to carry the Boss Key to the boss door. Link must take a certain path or the Key Master will appear from the floor and chase Link. If the Key Master retrieves the key from Link, they disappear into the floor and the key will reappear at its original location, forcing Link to try again.

Key Masters behave and look similar to the Floormasters from Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, and to Zant's Hands from Twilight Princess. They appear from the floor through black portals, and have eyes on their palms. They "walk" on their fingers.

Trivia

  • The Key Masters have two distinct themes when they appear. One is the same theme that sounds when a Phantom sees Link, the other (unique to this enemy) is a somewhat softer remix of the other.
