The Item Check is a location in Skyward Sword.[1] It is one of the many shops in the Skyloft Bazaar and is run by Peatrice.

Overview

Link can store items here that he does not need in his Adventure Pouch or otherwise can not carry in the pouch due to its limited space.[2] The player can store items in whichever of the 60 slots Peatrice offers for storage, or can sort the items already in the storage automatically.[3]

If Link finds an Adventure Pouch item out in the field, that item will get sent to the Item Check automatically. On the other hand, if Link's Adventure Pouch is full when trying to buy a pouch item over at the Gear Shop, Rupin will not let him; the player will have to store items at the Item Check before being able to buy a pouch item from Rupin in this instance.[4]

However, the Item Check's storage is also limited; Link can only store 60 items with Peatrice at any one time.[5] To free up room, Link will have to sell items out of either the pouch or the storage to Peatrice. Each type Adventure Pouch item is either given a value that it can be sold for, typically at a net loss, or otherwise made unsellable.

Trivia

  • As unsellable items as a whole are finite in number (1 shield, 10 medals including duplicates, 5 Bottles), it is impossible to be in a position where both the Adventure Pouch and Item Check are both completely full of unsellable items.
