Just a note here: I'm going to add this page into my Help Guide re-write (I say "re-write" -- it's basically an entirely new and expanded help guide), so don't do anything in regards to adding it to any kind of over-arching guide or anything. --Ando 14:37, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Expanding/rewriting the Help Guide is needed, but absorbing a bunch of pages into it might not be so good. If we have it all into one big page, it'll overwhelm people. The go looking for help about a certain thing, and they find one big page with it all there. That's throwing too much information to them at once. It also defeats the purpose of even having a Help names pace. There not very many articles in this name space. I'd say, make some specialized pages that each deal with one issue. That makes it easier to read as well as easier to check it for errors.--Matt 17:19, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
? When did I ever say I was making it all one page? The new guide will be formatted as such: The "Help" page will be a Table of Contents of sorts, with categorized links to each Help page. The new pages will cover things such as merging pages, using templates, uploading and crediting images, and of course archiving. I've got a good portion of the pages written already, but I'm not releasing any of it until it's all done.
This Archiving page will be what goes into the guide instead of me having to write one of my own. Obviously I will edit this page slightly to make it match the format of the existing pages (I say "existing pages"; they really only exist on my hard drive), but beyond that it's going to stay as it is. --Ando 17:23, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
How far along are these new pages?--Matt 17:30, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Let's see... the current plan is to have 13 pages... about a quarter are fully written and finished (I'd have more done but hospitalization kind of prevents that! YAY DOCTORS), quite a few pages are already existing in some form on the Wiki already and just need sprucing up, so I'd say that maybe half of the pages still need to be written. --Ando 17:37, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
