Goponga Flowers[1] are enemies that inhabit Spool Swamp and Goponga Swamp, the latter of which is named after them.

Goponga Flowers will damage Link if he comes into contact with them. In Link's Awakening, they are BowWow's favorite food,[2] and letting him eat them is the most effective way to get rid of them.

In Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, Goponga Flowers can generate and fire flame-like spherical projectiles from their core when prey or a threat has entered their domain.

Giant Goponga Flowers are larger variations of these plants which, unlike their smaller counterparts, can be found exclusively in Goponga Swamp.

Only BowWow likes these animated plants. If you have BowWow, he'll gobble them up. You can also use the Hook Shot or Magic Rod later in the game."
