|Use(s)||Keep track of fish caught while fishing|
The Fish Journal in Twilight Princess is obtained after catching a fish with the Fishing Rod obtained from Uli, Colin's mother. It keeps a record of all the fish that Link has caught while Bobber Fishing; that is, any fish that are caught while lure fishing in Hena's Fishing Hole will not be recorded in the journal. Moreover, the journal does not record any Skullfish or Bombfish caught since they are considered illegal.
The Fish Journal is located in the Start menu, and it shows a picture of the type of fish, how many have been caught, and the biggest size of the fish caught thus far.
In Phantom Hourglass, the Fish Journal is only accessible after receiving the Fishing Rod from the Old Wayfarer. It can be viewed from the left portion inside the Collection menu. Like in Twilight Princess, the Fish Journal records a picture of each fish, how many of each have been caught as well as the size of the largest one caught thus far, and the total number of fish caught.
