The Fairy of Winds is the Fairy who resides inside the Gale Boomerang in Twilight Princess.[1] They give the Boomerang its eolic properties.

Biography

After Ook is defeated in the Forest Temple, the monkey escapes, leaving the Gale Boomerang behind. The Boomerang then hovers on its own and reveals the spirit within the item as the Fairy of Winds, who thanks Link for having freed them from evil.[2] With their true power returned, they ask for Link to take the Boomerang with him and use their power and blessing to aid him in his quest.[3] The Fairy of Winds is never seen and is only spoken to once when Link first receives the Gale Boomerang.
