A report, master.

Silent Realm Information

Two types of Watchers patrol the realm, looking for intruders. I highly suggest you take caution.

So long as you do not step into their light, you will remain undetected by flying Sky Watchers. However, the Earth Watchers, who hover near the ground, will give chase if you come too close to them, so stay alert and maintain a safe distance.

Earth Watchers, are a type of Watchers that protect the Silent Realm. Unlike the Guardians, the Earth Watchers are not affected by the Sacred Tears and will continue to roam about. The Earth Watchers patrol the Silent Realm in a set path by shining a beam of light produced by the lanterns they carry. If Link passes through this light, the Earth Watcher will emit a loud shriek that will awaken and alert the Guardians to Links' location, canceling the effects of the Sacred Tears no matter how much time Link has remaining. Earth Watchers will give chase to Link if he gets too close, but will stop once Link gets far enough away. Earth Watchers will also give away their position in ways that give Link warning so he is not caught off guard. The Earth Watchers have dimmer, larger light radii, and it is safe for Link to be caught in this light, as long as their brighter direct light does not touch him. They also will give off a jingling sound upon noticing Link.

Earth Watchers are very similar to Sky Watchers, but Earth Watchers float near the ground, while Sky Watchers fly higher up, patrolling from the sky. Unlike the Sky Watchers, Earth Watchers will chase Link when he gets near.
