Link's Awakening[]

Link battling the Angler Fish while Diving underwater in Link's Awakening DX.

In Link's Awakening, Link can use the Flippers to Dive underwater by pressing the B Button while swimming.[3] Link can find sunken items while Diving, such as Small Keys and Piece of Hearts.[4] Link needs to Dive to reach and battle Angler Fish, the Boss of the Angler's Tunnel. Diving is also required to gain entrance to the Catfish's Maw.[1]

Ocarina of Time[]

In Ocarina of Time, Link can press the A Button while swimming to Dive. He is initially able to be underwater for no longer than three seconds but can later obtain the Silver and Golden Scales to extend his Diving capabilities.[citation needed]

Majora's Mask[]

In Majora's Mask, Link can press the A Button to Dive while in his Hylian form. As Zora Link, he can swim in any direction and at a faster speed than normal. He can also walk on the bottom of the water by pressing the B Button.

The Minish Cap[]

After Link obtains the Flippers in The Minish Cap, he can Dive underwater with the B Button.[5] Diving is necessary to obtain a Small Key in the Temple of Droplets; Link can also Dive beneath the pool of water next to Stockwell's House at Lake Hylia to obtain a Piece of Heart.

Twilight Princess[]



Skyward Sword[]

In Skyward Sword, after obtaining the Water Dragon's Scale, Link can Dive underwater.[6]

A Link Between Worlds[]

In A Link Between Worlds, Link can use the Zora's Flippers to Dive by pressing the A Button.[7][8]
