SmashWiki is an independent wiki focusing on the Super Smash Bros. series, of which The Legend of Zelda series plays a significant part.

Originally founded in December 2005 and hosted independently by Smash World Forums, one of the largest Super Smash Bros-related forum sites on the Internet, SmashWiki merged with Wikia's Super Smash Bros. Wiki in 2008. After frustrations with Wikia in fall 2010, the wiki split and is currently hosted independently once again as a NIWA affiliate. SmashWiki joined NIWA as the organization's eighth wiki on October 29, 2010.

Technical and competitive coverage

On top of the core game coverage, SmashWiki also covers technical aspects for the Smash games as well as the rather large smash tournament scene. The wiki features articles on independent players, crews, and tournaments.

Active Staff

SmashWiki is actively run by its owner Porplemontage, bureaucrat Toomai, and administrators Disaster Flare, Miles of SmashWiki, Nyargleblargle, and Serpent King. The wiki also hosts a veritable cornucopia of staff with varying degrees of inactivity.

Trivia

  • The site's logo is centered around Master Hand, the final boss of the one-player modes in all four Smash games.
