This isn't the only way you can beat the boss. I beat him by going underwater, firing the boomerangs, and then attacking him when he got stunned using the boomerangs. Is this the wrong way to do it and should I not put it in the article? Krizzy 17:17, 22 December 2011 (EST)

There's no real "wrong way", so you can add alternative ways to kill it. Feel free to add it on. - TonyT S C 18:08, 22 December 2011 (EST)
How about sort of generalizing it it "attack it with a ranged weapon, then attack it any way you can"? Krizzy 20:26, 22 December 2011 (EST)
That sounds a little too general to me. I went ahead and edited it myself; take a look and see if you agree with it. If not, I'm open to further discussion. — Hylian King [*] 20:50, 22 December 2011 (EST)
Yeah, that looks great. Better than I could have done. Krizzy 23:21, 22 December 2011 (EST)

FD Mask Weakness?[]

The page states that it is possible to harm Gyorg with the Fierce Deity mask. As I remember, masks CANNOT be used as weapons by themselves. Also, is it even possible to get the mask in question before battling Gyorg? User:Darkness/sig 12:57, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

Well, once you acquire the Fierce Deity Mask, you can save and return to day one, then go back to Great Bay Temple and fight Gyorg again. With the Fierce Deity's powerful sword beams, you can easily take down Gyorg with very little risk to Link by simply locking on to him and firing away. I know you're playing through MM right now, so when you beat a boss, you can play the song of time to return to the first day and then fight the boss again. It's very unique in the series, and it's even required to do a lot of different things.Justin(Talk) 20:31, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
But, it's still incorrect to say that THE MASK ITSELF is the weakness; as [the] Fierce Deity (Link)'s Sword Beams are the weakness; simply put, [the] Fierce Deity (Link) is the weakness. (And I haven't even beat a boss yet :() User:Darkness/sig 21:10, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
But, the page already says that..."Gyorg is also vulnerable to Fierce Deity's powerful Energy Beam"
So...yeah.Justin(Talk) 21:18, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

Chimaera?[]

Especially because of the emphasis on the jaws, as well as the bony horns, this looks way more like some kind of bony fish, such as a piranha. Why are we claiming it is specifically a chimaera?KrytenKoro (talk) 21:47, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

Yea, that thing is not a chimera. It really doesn't have any features that don't belong to a fish. It would need to be stated to be genetically modified or have cow udders or something to be considered a chimera. I am gonna to change the usage of "chimera" with "fish" Champion of Nayru (talk) 23:42, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
Well, to be fair, a "chimaera" is a type of fish related to the rays and sharks, also known as a "ratfish"...but I just don't see any reason to call this a ratfish, besides wanting all of the Gyorgs to be analogues to a group of real-world fish.KrytenKoro (talk) 00:30, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
It only vaguely looks like a chimaera. Changed to fish? Any objections? Champion of Nayru (talk) 04:35, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Name meaning[]

I just noticed for the first time that it's GUyorg, not Gyorg. That means the relation to the word 'gyo' meaning fish doesn't work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KairuHakubi 8:35, 13 January 2019 (UTC)
