Keeleons are enemies that appear in A Link Between Worlds and Tri Force Heroes. They are floating enemies that release Bombs.

Characteristics and Weaknesses

A Keeleon from Tri Force Heroes

Keeleons are monsters that float in the air and attack by spitting Bombs at Link. Although they do not have much health, in A Link Between Worlds, they cannot be defeated with the Sword, as they float too high for it to reach. Instead, Keeleons must be defeated by either using the Fire Rod, Ice Rod, or by throwing Bombs.

In Tri Force Heroes, Keeleons can be attacked with the Sword by having the Links form a Totem to reach the Keeleon. This may either require a Totem of two or three depending on how high the Keeleon is floating. It can also be reached with the Water Rod, which will stun it as well. Keeleons mainly appear in the Riverside and Ice Cavern Areas of the Drablands as common enemies, but can also appear in other Levels as well.

In addition to the regular Keeleon, there is also the Fire Keeleon in Tri Force Heroes as well. This type of Keeleon is on fire, rendering the Links unable to strike it with their Sword lest they get burned. These Keeleons also release fire balls instead of Bombs. The Links can defeat Fire Keeleons by first stunning them, such as with the Gust Jar, which will douse their flames. The Links can also freely attack it while wearing the Goron Garb Outfit, which will protect them from their flames. Fire Keeleons usually appear in the Volcano Area.
